Sacred Heart College is a Catholic (Marist) school teaching Years 7 to 12 across two campuses. Our classroom at 400 Anzac Highway, Camden Park is about 4 km away in a straight line, close enough for students to come to class after school or from home in the evening.
Adelaide Tutors teaches maths and science in groups of no more than 6 at our Camden Park classroom. We are an independent tutoring business: we are not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to Sacred Heart College.
Getting to class from Sacred Heart College
Marcellin Campus, 195 Brighton Road, Somerton Park (Years 10 to 12): about 4 km south-west of the classroom. Take Brighton Road north to Anzac Highway at Glenelg, then head along the highway towards the city. We are at number 400, shortly after Morphett Road.
Champagnat Campus, 28 Percy Avenue, Mitchell Park (Years 7 to 9): about 4 km south-east of the classroom. Take Marion Road north to Anzac Highway and turn towards Glenelg. Number 400 is about a kilometre along, just past the Cross Road junction.
Weekday classes run in the late afternoon and evening, with further classes at the weekend, so they sit outside school hours.
How our classes fit with school
In Years 11 and 12, Mathematical Methods, Specialist Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology are SACE subjects, and the SACE Board sets the same subject outline for every school in South Australia. Our Stage 1 and Stage 2 classes teach to that outline, so the content matches what is being covered at school.
What differs from school to school is the order of topics and the tests and investigations each school sets. With no more than 6 students in a class, there is time each week to work on a student's own upcoming assessments. Years 7 to 10 Maths and Science classes follow the Australian Curriculum in the same way.
