The first weeks of Year 11 and Year 12 move quickly. Students who arrive already familiar with the opening topics have room to ask better questions, and those who arrive with gaps often spend Term 1 catching up. Our Headstart program uses the last weeks of the summer holidays to put students in the first group.
Headstart is taught in the same way as our term classes: no more than 6 students per group, clear explanations from first principles, and plenty of guided practice with individual feedback.
Two Headstart streams
SACE Stage 1 Headstart
Year 10 into Year 11
For students finishing Year 10 who want to begin Stage 1 already confident with the algebra, functions and problem-solving that senior Mathematics and Physics assume from the first week.
SACE Stage 2 Headstart
Year 11 into Year 12
For students finishing Year 11 who want to get ahead on Stage 2 content before school returns, so that Term 1 becomes consolidation rather than a scramble to keep up.

Headstart is offered in the SACE subjects we teach during the year:
How to book
Groups are capped at 6 students, so places are limited. Contact us with your child's year level and subjects and we will confirm session times, fees and availability.
